About Us

Return to Work and Sports Center, Inc. (RTW) was established in 1987 and has been located in Oak Creek since 1998. A second office exists in West Allis. Therapist owned and operated,we offer clients over 20 years of experience in rehabilitation by highly regarded and exceptionally trained staff.

In April of 2006 we expanded our services to include The Wellness Center™, a comprehensive health and wellness destination that offers services designed to compliment Return to Work’s rehabilitation and injury prevention efforts.

We are a member of the Midwest Rehabilitation Network, Inc. (MRNI), a network of independently owned clinics providing rehabilitation services, including physical and occupational therapy. MRNI clinics and therapists undergo a strict credentialing process and must continuously monitor patient outcomes and satisfaction. Return to Work and Sports Center, Inc consistently ranks above local and national averages and can provide services that cost between 40% to 60% less than hospital based clinics. President/Physical Therapist

Bob graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Over the past 20+ years, he has had extensive experience and training in the areas of industrial and orthopedic rehabilitation and injury prevention.

As owner of Return to Work and Sports Center, Inc. and Director of Industrial Services Network, LLC, he has established numerous outpatient clinics in the Milwaukee area. He has also established injury prevention and on-site rehabilitation programs for many Milwaukee area businesses and industries.

In addition to being an enthusiastic hands-on clinician, Bob has been a guest speaker at the University of Wisconsin Madison and Milwaukee, Carroll College, the Medical College of Wisconsin and at conferences for the Wisconsin Back Society and the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association. Bob is a member of the Wisconsin and American Physical Therapy Association.

Bob enjoys spending his free time camping, biking and kayaking with his wife and their children.

Elizabeth A. Hanus-Kroll, O.T.R., M.S.
Occupational Therapist

Liz graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy, and in 1994 with a Masters of Business in Health Care Administration. Over the past 20 years she has had experience in a variety of therapy settings, including geriatrics, mental health, drug and alcohol treatment, and has had extensive experience working with individuals in community-based and pediatric settings.

Liz’s interest has always been to assist people in maintaining independence in all areas of their life, remaining in the least restrictive living environment possible. She has developed and maintained a very successful treatment program for urinary incontinence for RTW.

Liz enjoys spending time with her husband and children, gardening, beading and being outdoors.

Occupational Therapist
Certified Lymphedema Therapist

Paula graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. For 10 years, she has worked with clients ranging from small children to the frail elderly in long term care and outpatient settings. In 2006, Paula earned her certification in Lymphedema Management. She is passionate about providing the highest quality care in a comfortable setting. Paula continues to participate in continuing education focusing on lymphedema, orthopedics, wound care and driver rehabilitation. She is member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

In her free time, Paula enjoys traveling, biking and hiking with her husband and children.

Physical Therapist Assistant/Massage Therapist

Suzanne graduated in 1994 from Northeast Wisconsin-Technical College-Green Bay with and Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Suzanne, also attended U.W. –Milwaukee and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Psychology and Sociology.

Suzanne has over fifteen years working in out-patient rehab., sports medicine, and geriatric rehabilitation.

Suzanne is experienced in manual therapy having practiced as a Licensed Massage Therapist for over six years.

In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys traveling, cooking, water sports, hosting International students, biking down volcanoes, and riding motorcycle with her husband.

Gail Hall
Office / Billing Manager

Gail joined Return to Work and Sports Center, Inc. in 1997. As Office / Billing Manager, she is able to handle all your scheduling needs and will assist you with your insurance and billing questions.

Gail had extensive experience in the health care industry before joining the RTW team. She spent 16 years as a dental assistant and managing dental office activities in the Milwaukee area.

A native of West Allis, Gail enjoys traveling and spending her time off with her family. She’s also quick to point out her love for wildlife and the great outdoors…especially when viewed from a luxury hotel!

Licensed Acupuncturist, Physical Therapist

John holds a Master of Physical Therapy Degree, Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, Diplomat of Acupuncture, Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, and a Black Belt in Mixed Martial Arts. Mr. Burns utilizes his education and experience as a physical performance and agility trainer to help all of his clients improve their performance potential and prevent injuries in all of their athletic endeavors.

John created the patent pending Tao-Well: Total-Body-Workouts, The Tao F.I.T. mind-body workouts, a Golf-Well training program, as well as a XC Ski F.i.T. workout series, He also developed a comprehensive set of Rehab-Well presentations to help everyone address their musculoskeletal aches and pains that are associated with working out.

Susan Natwora, BSM, D.T.R.
Nutrition Consultant

Sue is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University with a B.S. in Business Management and MATC with an Associate Degree in Dietetics. She has been a practicing dietetic professional for over 20 years.

Sue has vast experience in weight management, geriatric and fitness/nutrition education.
From pre-natal to geriatrics, she has devoted herself to the nutritional well being of her clients and is passionate about promoting nutrition wellness and healthy lifestyles.

In addition to being Nutrition Consultant to The Wellness Center™, Sue is the full time Director of Nutrition Services at Kindred Hospital. In that position, she has been able to embrace the diversity of food service and clinical nutritional management.

Besides enjoying time with her husband and two sons, Sue spends her free time training and competing in triathlons.
